4-Sulfonic calix[8]arene is a potent AIM2 inflammasome inhibitor that work by binding competitively to the DNA binding site, dose dependently inhibits AIM2-dependent cell death and IL-1β release.
4-Sulfonic calix[8]arene shows IC50 of 191 nM and 214 nM for poly dA:dT-induced cell death and IL-1β release, respectively.
4-Sulfonic calix[8]arene is effective at blocking dsDNA-induced inflammasome activation in LPS-primed human blood monocyte-derived macrophages (hMDMs).
